Boating 
There are two components to the UCSC Boating Club, Sailing and Rowing. The Sailing Teams compete in the Intercollegiate Sailing Association. Consistantly in the top 3 Northern section of the Pacific Coast District and recently ranked in the top 20 nationally, the Slugs regularly compete against Cal, Stanford, USC, Hawaii, and others. The bulk of racing is done in 13 1/2' Flying Juniors. Although racing experience is desirable, all enthusiastic sailors are welcome. The Rowing component of the club is new. They compete in regatas during the late Winter and Spring throughout Northern California. This is a Teir IB team.
